Banana Beach Resort

Getting There

Banana Beach Resort is located in Tagum City, Davao del Norte and is an hour-drive away from Davao City. Its nice to drive to the area since there are no bumpy road its cemented roads all the way. The resort is just along the highway. Take the next right after the cemetery and keep your eyes on the right side of the road.

Guests receive free Bananas directly from the resort's plantation.
Entrance Fee

We took the consumable pass worth 750 Php per person. It may seem expensive but you do get to use the infinity pool and use the 750 to purchase food which makes it a great deal since their food is really delicious. Tagum residents get a discount and only need to pay 500 Php.

Beach and Infinity Pool

The beach has dark sand but its clean and not crowded at all. You can rent a kayak, banana boat and boards. There's also a huge trampoline that you can bring to the middle of the sea. The infinity pool is only 5 feet tall but makes up for it by being really clean and the blue tiles make the water in the pool look even more like water.

Kid's pool and Bar in the middle of the pool.
Tours

The resort offers tons of tours. They have the forest tour, plantation tour, river tours and evening tours. We were able to avail of the forest tour since the plantation tour is only open during weekdays when the plantation's operations are ongoing.

The Forest tour is highlighted by the hanging bridge. Followed by a short walk in the forest. Its muddy so I suggest not to use your best shoes.

Leader of the Monkey Tribe. I'm guessing the one with the biggest balls becomes the leader by default.

Rooms
With so many things to do its impossible to enjoy all of the things Banana Beach has to offer in one day so you might want to rent one of their Casitas. Its a little pricey but most of the rooms accommodate multiple people. The non-air conditioned Casitas has many mosquitoes so I suggest bring a lot of Off lotiong but personally the air-conditioned rooms are the way to go.

Fishing

"The Spot" as they call it may sound like a bar or club but its actually their fishing pond. You can rent the cottage for the day and it comes with two fishing rods. You have to pay around 300 Php/kilo for the fish you catch but the Resort offers to cook it for free.

"The Spot" I can't help but think of something else when they mention "The Spot"
There's to see and do in Banana Beach and overall I had a really great time visiting. I will definitely be coming back to take the rest of the tours and try out the other water activities. They also have promo rates this July for overnight accomodations.
